Take a mouthpiece

A fresh, individually wrapped mouthpiece dispenses automatically. Unwrap it and keep the wrapper to bin afterwards.

Single use · clean every time

Click it on

Push the mouthpiece firmly onto the sensor opening until it clicks into place.

Blow steadily

Take a deep breath and blow into the mouthpiece in one steady stream until you hear the beep.

Keep blowing for about 4 to 5 seconds

Read your result

Your estimated breath alcohol reading appears on the screen within a few seconds.

Wait a moment before the next test

Make the safe choice

Drop the used mouthpiece in the bin. If you have been drinking, leave the car and take a taxi, rideshare or public transport home.

The Breathly 2 gives an indicative reading only. It is not a medical or legal device, and a reading is never permission to drive.

Alcohol keeps being absorbed for a while after your last drink, so your real level can rise even after a low reading. The only level that is always safe behind the wheel is zero.

If you have any doubt, do not drive. Look out for your friends too.

Yes. Every mouthpiece is individually wrapped and single use. You unwrap a fresh one each time, and it goes in the bin afterwards.

It is designed to give a useful indication of your breath alcohol level, not a certified legal measurement. Treat any reading above zero as a reason not to drive.

Wait about 15 to 20 minutes after your last drink, food, cigarette or mouthwash before testing, so the reading is not thrown off by alcohol still in your mouth.
